Through uploads on Twitter account, Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil asked tourists to postpone trips to the Greater Bandung area for the next seven days.
The Greater Bandung area in question includes the city of Bandung, Bandung district, West Bandung Regency, Cimahi city, and Sumedang Regency, which is currently on alert one due to a spike in Covid-19 cases.
“ENT (West Bandung Regency) and Bandung Regency has a red zone status,” wrote Ridwan Kamil. Not only that, Ridwan Kamil also emphasized that the majority of tourist areas would also be closed.
“In the meah zone area immediately apply WFH again, i.e. as big 75 percent work from home. In the Bandung Raya area, Resto/Cafe must limit the number of visitors 30-50 percent,” he said.
Furthermore Ridwan Kamil also explained that hospitals in the Greater Bandung area had reached 85 percent filled. The lift has exceeded the standard limit of the work from office policy, that is 60 percent and national critical standards 70 percent.
