Since starting the areca nut plate business in November 2020 until April 2021, The residents of Sinar Wajo Village and Sungai Beras Village have sold approx 400 fruit plate. The price of one plate is around Rp 5.000 up to Rp 6.000.

As these eco-friendly dishes grow in popularity and demand increases, then the cost of the product can be lower and the selling price is cheap.

Another interesting thing about this betel nut plate is the pattern. Ayu says, there are three types of betel nut plates available, namely Grade A which is almost without pattern or plain, Grade B half patterned, and Grade C many motives.

“The color and pattern really depends on the betel nut fronds obtained,” the lid.
