The global Covid-19 pandemic that hit Indonesia had a major impact on various sectors including the tourism sector.

To revive the tourism sector in Indonesia and face the challenges ahead, The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Support for the Strategic Program of BUMN Ecosystem Tourism between the President Director of PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (Telkom) Ririek Adriansyah with the President Director of seven SOEs.

This collaboration will later be joined in the Holding of BUMN Tourism and Support, covering PT Angkasa Pura I (Persero), PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero), PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero), PT Indonesian Tourism Development (Persero) or ITDC, PT. Taman Wisata Candi Borobudur, Prambanan & Ratu Boko (Persero), Hotel Indonesia Natour (Persero), and PT Sarinah (Persero).

On separate occasions, Director of Enterprise & Business Service Telkom, Edi Witjara said that Telkom is committed to strengthening the development of the tourism sector through digitalization and optimization of infrastructure, platform, and digital services.

"We will provide a solution, platform, and digital services needed in the implementation of the BUMN Tourism Ecosystem's strategic program so that it is useful in accelerating digitization in the tourism sector and its supporters.,"Said Edi.

Previous, Telkom has shown its support for the Indonesian tourism sector through Indonesia Travel & Tourism Digital Platform Wonderful Indonesia (wonderin.id) which presents a new way for the development of the tourism ecosystem in Indonesia.

This platform presents a marketplace to build bridges and a strong network with tourism partners in inventory management, simplify distribution access as well as travel business information and analysis to enhance the transaction experience for partners.

The orientation of this digital platform is to support the digitization of tourist villages and move as a center for providing complete information for tourists who want to see the beauty of Indonesia.. With the use of digital platforms, certainly will increase interest in tourism again.

In addition to the digital platform wonderin.id, Telkom also has an end-to-end digital solution for Corporate Travel Management (TravelAja) with a fully integrated system with the booking and ticket issuance process that includes transportation, accommodation, and other travel expenses.
