Ragunan Wildlife Park, located in South Jakarta, is reported to have closed on Tuesday 22 June 2021 due to the soaring cases of Covid-19 in DKI Jakarta.

The Ragunan Wildlife Park announced that the closure of this tourist area is up to an undetermined time limit.

Ragunan Wildlife Park Public Relations (TMR), Wahyudi Bambang said, “Temporarily closed due to implementation of strengthening health protocols due to increasing cases of Covid-19.”

Temporary closure of the Zoo, Wahyudi continued, to strengthen the implementation of the Implementation of Restricting Community Activities or PPMK Micro and accelerate the Covid-19 vaccination.

On the other hand, the DKI Jakarta government has re-imposed Micro PPKM 22 June to 5 July 2021.

Ragunan Wildlife Park previously operated with restrictions. Among them are the number of visitors 50 percent of capacity, online ticket booking, as well as only allowing visitors with a DKI Jakarta KTP.

However, the manager of the Wildlife Park, however, still applies online ordering the day before the visit. If not pocketing confirmation via electronic mail, then the manager will refuse visitors to enter the Tourism Park.

The Ragunan Tourism site also requires all visitors to wear masks before and while in the Ragunan Wildlife Park area.
