TravelDIVA – Kesumbo ampai is the name of a village, in Riau Province, precisely located in Bengkalis Regency, District of Bathin Solapan. Kesumbo Ampai Village is a village inhabited by indigenous Malay Tribe, often referred to as the SAKAI TRIBE.
Even though they are natives, however, the people of the Sakai tribe in Kesumbo Ampai Village that I have encountered today are not underdeveloped, both socially, education, clothes, even their mindset. The people of the Sakai tribe in Kesumbo Ampai Village are very advanced and can even be considered modern. This can be seen from people's daily lives, and not a few have private vehicles, even wheeled vehicles 4.
One of the pride of Kesumbo Ampai Village is the Traditional House of the Sakai Tribe which was built to be a place for customary activities, where he held the appointment of the granting of customary titles to selected community leaders.
Even the traditional house that was built is used as a museum from the relics of historical objects that are still remaining in Kesumbo Ampai Village. However, sometimes we teachers also often invite students to carry out teaching and learning activities in the Sakai Tribe Traditional House area. This is because the traditional house building is located not far from where I teach, around 500 meters from our school building. So, by riding a wheeled vehicle 2 take approx 10 minutes of travel.
In the yard of the Sakai Tribe Traditional House, there is a stage that can be used by the general public. Whereas the traditional house cannot be opened freely for the safety of historical objects in the house and also for the sake of maintaining the cleanliness of the Traditional House as well.
I am a teacher who teaches at SMKN 2 Mandau. This school is located in Kesumbo Ampai Village, which stands on the customary land of the Sakai Tribe and is the waqf land of the locals through the Head of the Tribe as the responsible. SMKN 2 100% land endowment 200 square meter.
Because it is in the same place, not infrequently when the residents of the Sakai Tribe hold events at traditional houses, we are always invited to enliven the event. During 4 years I taught at this school, It is not uncommon for me to come to a custom house to carry out the teaching and learning process with the outdoor system there. This is due to the environmental beauty, beautiful scenery, and the cool air in this village can create a comfortable learning atmosphere.
The Sakai Tribe Traditional House has an area of about 500m2, and consists of 3 The main building, namely one traditional house and two others, is an open stage that can be used by the general public as long as the building is kept clean and clean. The three buildings are quite large, so it can be used as a place that can accommodate many people.
