Celebrating the second planting season in April-May 2021, Deputy Minister of Agriculture (Deputy Minister) RI, Harvick Hasnul Qolbi paid a working visit to the Pupuk Kaltim factory in Bontang, East Kalimantan.
The visit was to ensure that the production and stock of subsidized fertilizers provided by Pupuk Kaltim were sufficient and ready to be distributed according to the allocated allocations in the area of responsibility for subsidies..
Ensuring smooth production in order to meet fertilizer stock targets, Pupuk Kaltim applies technology in the fertilizer production and distribution process. The company has implemented industry-based technology 4.0 across the lines of the Company, starting from Smart Operation, Smart Maintenance, Smart Distribution, hingga Digital Performance Management System.
The Wamentan visit was welcomed by the Managing Director of Pupuk Kaltim Rahmad Pribadi, Also present were the Managing Director of Pupuk Indonesia Bakir Pasaman along with the Board of Directors and Management of the Pupuk Indonesia Group.
In his speech, Deputy Harvick said that during this visit, apart from being an assignment from the President to guarantee the availability of fertilizers, also to ensure that the stock of fertilizer is sufficient at least for this year.
"I believe Pupuk Kaltim employees have worked hard and continue to provide accurate information. I have seen that the stock of subsidized fertilizer is sufficient, especially for distribution to Pupuk Kaltim operational areas. "
On the same occasion, Managing Director of Pupuk Indonesia Bakir Pasaman, said that Pupuk Indonesia has prepared 2,1 million tons of fertilizer for stocks facing the growing season, starting from Lini 1 to the Line 4.
"Pupuk Indonesia is responsible for providing and distributing subsidized fertilizers as a whole, where the distribution process is monitored through the Distribution Planning and Control System technology (DPCS) throughout Indonesia and to all kiosks,Bakir explained.
Bakir thanked Wamentan Harvick for his attention to the industrial sector, especially in Lini 1. “By visiting Pupuk Kaltim factory, We hope that the Deputy Deputy Minister can get the right input on issues concerning the quality and distribution of fertilizers,”Kata Bakir.
Is known, Pupuk Kaltim is responsible for the procurement and distribution of subsidized fertilizers in eight regions, namely East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, South Sulawesi and West Sulawesi. To 7 April 2021, Pupuk Kaltim has distributed 306.038 tons of subsidized fertilizer (Urea than NPK).
Pupuk Kaltim is also preparing 217.499 tons of subsidized fertilizers and 95.008 tons of non-subsidized fertilizer in all Pupuk Kaltim distribution areas, to meet the needs of farmers, either those who have registered in the e-RDKK or those who have not.
