In an effort to attract more visitors, The West Manggarai Regency Government is targeting an increase in tourist visits to Labuan Bajo this year 2024.
This was stated by the Regent of West Manggarai, Agustinus Ch Play, in a meeting with local tourism stakeholders. Dula emphasized the importance of joint efforts to develop Labuan Bajo as a leading destination.
“We must unite to increase the number of tourists visiting Labuan Bajo. The tourism potential there is very large, but we need various strategies to attract more tourists,” Dula said.
One of the challenges faced by the West Manggarai Regency Government is increasing accessibility to Labuan Bajo. This includes improving road infrastructure, airport, and other means of transportation.
other than that, The West Manggarai Regency Government will also focus on improving the quality of services and tourist attractions in Labuan Bajo. Training and certification programs for tourism actors will also be strengthened to improve service standards.
“We must ensure that tourists have an unforgettable experience when visiting Labuan Bajo. This will help build a positive image of our destination in the eyes of the world,” added Dula.
The West Manggarai Regency Government will also collaborate with various parties, including the private sector and local communities, to support efforts to increase tourism in Labuan Bajo. It is hoped that this collaboration can create innovative programs that can attract tourist interest.
“We need to think creatively in developing tourism in Labuan Bajo. With the support of all parties, I am sure we can achieve the target of increasing the number of tourists in 2024,” close Dula.
