In order to increase collaborative action in promoting Heritage Jakarta tourism, Indonesia Hidden Heritage Creative Hub (IHHCH) together with the Jakarta Maritime Museum did media visit to the National Television Station, namely TVRI. Visits made on Tuesday, 31 January 2023 then this, aims to expand the network of IHHCH and the Jakarta Maritime Museum in promoting the Museum as a creative public space.
"IHHCH hopes that TVRI can become a media partner that helps IHHCH in publishing activities to promote historical tourism,” ucap Deputy Director IHHCH, Sriwulantuty R.O.
For your information, TVRI has become a Public Broadcasting Institution based on Government Regulation Number 13 Year 2005 about the Television Public Broadcasting Institution of the Republic of Indonesia. as public television, LPP TVRI has the duty to provide information services, education, wholesome entertainment, social control and glue, as well as preserving the nation's culture for the benefit of all levels of society through the organization of television broadcasting that reaches the entire territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia.
Book and City Story Festival
One of TVRI's tasks in preserving the nation's culture is in line with the mission of IHHCH Reviving Indonesia Urban Heritage Tourism Potential. IHHCH is currently a promotion and marketing partner for the Jakarta Maritime Museum and the Palembang City Museum, to improve the quality of the museum as an attractive tourist destination to visit in urban areas.
In addition to developing the Museum, IHHCH encourages the strengthening of heritage tourism through the publication of the City Stories book series. Currently City Storybooks have been started for Jakarta and Palembang to follow in the near future. The hope is that there will be a City Story series for all of Indonesia.
The City Story itself was also appointed as a monthly Festival program at the Jakarta Maritime Museum and the Palembang City Museum. This festival carries a different theme each month and is filled with inspirational discussions from creative economy actors and across communities.
TVRI is interested in participating in the research that will be carried out by IHHCH in publishing the Seri Kota Seribu Islands book, where research will be carried out on Edam and Sebira Islands. This book product will be packaged with a different design eye catching, popular writing style with size travel size, so that this book is expected to be an interesting reading for the community. Likewise with the City Story Festival, TVRI has provided support to promote the festival's activities since January.
Program TVRI World
other than that, TVRI also has an international broadcast program called TVRI World which provides information with the mission of encouraging the nation's progress on the international stage through world-class broadcasts.. The TVRI World program includes TVRI World News, Daily Talkshow, Beautiful Indonesia, Inspiring Indonesia, Coffee break with Ambassador dan Diplomatic Corner. Father Yusuf Muhammad said, that currently TVRI has broadcast internationally in two countries, and in the future it will be broadcast in eight countries.
With this international broadcast, TVRI is also very open to collaborating with IHHCH and the Jakarta Maritime Museum to introduce museums or other heritage tourism more broadly as tourist destinations in Indonesia..
Head of the Jakarta Maritime Museum Creation and Maintenance Unit, Mr. Triyadi Purnomo, also said that the Museum is currently collaborating with several Embassies to hold exhibitions by making the Museum as venue event in July. This shows that it is time for museums in Indonesia to develop better with their public programs, and become a tourist destination for local and international tourists. Of course this can be realized if accompanied by collaboration, as well as extensive promotions.
In the future, it is hoped that IHHCH together with TVRI and museums in Indonesia can develop an effective collaborative program in order to introduce Indonesian culture or heritage of cultural products both locally and internationally..
