Roemah Indonesia BV is proud to participate in the Amsterdam Coffee Festival 2024, that lasted from 4 to 6 April. This year's festival theme, “Innovation and Sustainability in Coffee Production,” highlighting the different approaches taken by manufacturers Indonesian coffee in facing this challenge, including agroforestry practices.
Agroforestry is an agricultural system in which food crops and forestry crops are grown together on the same land. Although not all of the coffee on display at this festival is cultivated through agroforestry, The presence of this event reflects the innovative spirit of Indonesian coffee farmers and the various sustainable practices they implement in the archipelago. This festival will be a forum for sharing various Indonesian coffee cultivation methods, as well as increasing Indonesia's awareness of environmental issues and social equality.
Amsterdam Coffee Festival 2024 will also highlight the important role of micro-enterprises, small, and secondary (UMKM) as well as small farmers in the Indonesian coffee industry. other than that, Roemah Indonesia BV continues to support the Prosperous Coffee Commodity program managed by the PMO Kopi Nusantara Ministry of BUMN. This program aims to improve the quality and productivity of Indonesian coffee and ensure sustainable development from upstream to downstream. This initiative emphasizes the important role of BUMN in supporting Indonesia's coffee and agricultural industry as a whole.
