WEEK early days, end of October 2023, A rented Toyota Innova Reborn brought us to land in Tuban Regency. The district with the nickname Kota Wali is very quiet. It was my first time setting foot there. I and two co-workers went there to do a business trip during 7 day. Our first destination was Tropical Tuban Resort.
Tuban is a district in East Java Province with a position on the North Coast Line (Pantura) Java Island. Regencies bordering the Java Sea, Lamongan, Bojonegoro, Rembang and Blora have a large area 1.904,70 kilometers with long beaches reach 65 kilometer.
Tropical Tuban Resort is our choice of place to stay because from the photos on a site you can see a large swimming pool and beautiful trees like a resort. The rooms in the photos also look large. Our guess, the resort is a spacious place to stay, beautiful and comfortable to relieve fatigue after a day of activities outside.
Got lost, finally we arrived at the resort. With half closed eyes, we were surprised when we saw this resort from the outside. Our guess was wrong. The resort is not as big as we imagined. Half laugh, a co-worker said, “This resort is located in a small town. So, even the size may not be as large as the resorts in other tourist cities.”
After check in and took the key, we rushed into the elevator. The buttons on the elevator indicate what the resort consists of 3 floor and our room is located on the top floor. Arrived on the floor 3, we walked through the passage with a view of the pool visible from the glass window on the right.
Our room faces the highway. Tuban is surrounded by beaches. At first we hoped to see a view of the coast from the highest floor of the inn. However, it turned out that our room faced the main road with a view of the house, office, and restaurant.
The interior of the rooms at this resort are reminiscent of home. A king-size bed, cupboard, TV placed on the shelf, and a pair of chairs complete with a coffee table. All the furniture in the room is made of teak wood so it looks sturdy. The bathroom is equipped with a bath tub with marble walls and floors.
There is also a minibar fridge in the room. This hotel is far from modern. However, the cleanliness of the room and the sheets deserve appreciation. Hotel receptionists and staff are also friendly, although not all of them understand popular culinary delights in Tuban and how to get there when using public transportation.
First day stay, i immediately explore Tropical Tuban Resort. As a resort, this inn has basic amenities, namely bed, bathroom and restaurant. Additional facilities include a swimming pool and gym. This gym with a view of the pool is my favorite place after work in the afternoon. After working out, I usually relax for a while at the restaurant while enjoying a glass of fruit juice. My favorite fruit juice there is mix fruit with additional request, given a squeeze of lemon.
Based on literature, the resort is a planned area, not just to stay, but also rest and recreation. Even though I didn't have time to enjoy the resort as a place of recreation, the presence of a gym and a glass of mix fruit every day is able to make my heart happy. Its strategic position, close to various popular culinary delights such as Nasi Pecel Champion and Warung Mak Tie, attractions such as the Kwan Sing Bio Temple, Tuban Grand Mosque, Tomb of Sunan Bonang, offices and beaches.
Considering the clean rooms with a strategic resort location and equipped with gym and swimming pool facilities, Tropical Tuban Resort can be the preferred place to stay for families, employee, and tourists.
