The plan is for us to grill seafood to celebrate the birthday of a colleague. Otres Beach di Sihanoukville, Cambodia, divided into three. We decided to go to Otres Beach 2 because the atmosphere is quiet and the beach is also clean.
Grilling seafood has been on our agenda since the previous week. The originator was Nary Soun, coworkers who are Cambodian nationals. Preparations began at o'clock 1 noon.
Nary and I went to the Psar Nickham wet market. At a glance, some Khmer vocabulary is similar to Indonesian. The word Psar in Psar Nickham has the same meaning as the word market in Indonesian. Psar Nikcham is the second largest market in Sihanoukville.
We left for the market using Si Morning. That is our nickname for the office service car that is faithful to accompany you anywhere. Shopping at the market with Nary is really fun.
That day Nary was so lively. He walked very fast from one stall to another without caring how muddy Psar Nickham was that afternoon. While me, still thinking about stepping up. Worried about being splashed with muddy soil.
Buy Seafood
The first seafood we chose was squid. Then crab. The crab is a little different from most crabs in Indonesia. The color is bluish. We also chose mackerel and prawns. Do not miss it, we ordered a box complete with ice cubes at a stall at the front of the market.
I saw the seller break the ice cubes and put them in a box. While waiting for the seller to finish breaking the ice cubes, we buy various herbs and vegetables. Previous, We entrust the purchased seafood to the box vendor.
Nary did not give me a chance to choose vegetables at all. According to him, I've been the "organizer" for him and my teammates too many times legal and marketing office. "This time I'm the 'organizer',"He said with a laugh. Ah, Nary is funny.
I saw him take carrots, lime and cucumber. The week before, Nary has also bought Thai special sambal, powdered beef broth, butter and salt at AEON Mall 2, Phnom Penh.
Because you don't have a burner, we buy charcoal, clay container and fan. I saw Nary also bought an inner sheet of tires to help speed up the charcoal burning process.
After buying vegetables, we returned to the box-selling kiosk. When we arrived, the box is filled with ice cubes. Not forgetting, Nary asked the merchant to put the seafood into the box. The goal is to keep the seafood fresh until evening.
From Psar Nickham, we invite 3 other co-workers at Mess 36, behind Electronic City. From mess, we immediately went to Otres Beach. Do not forget, we also made a pact with 2 co-workers living on the project to meet on the beach.
Burn Seafood
We left the mess at 14.30, arrived at Otres Beach 2 jam 15.00. On arrival at Otres, we immediately dropped all the luggage. I rolled out the mat. After that, Nary immediately chopped carrots into action, cucumber, and lemons. Then put it on ice cubes to keep it fresh.
The next target is seafood. It washes all seafood with seawater. Then she stirred the butter with Knorr beef broth. He spread the mixture all over the seafood surface.
We had doubts about his cooking skills. Especially when he saw that he did not clean the mackerel fish's gills and cut his stomach. How is it possible that the mixture of butter and beef broth can soak into the fish meat if the stomach is not slightly sliced.
It turned out that our guess was wrong. All of Nary's grilled seafood is delicious. My colleagues and I have increased our portions many times. Weekend getaway That time was very exciting. It doesn't feel right, the sun has been over an hour since the contest.
The moon began to show itself. Night has arrived. The beach was dark because there were no lights. Finally we decided to go back to the mess.
In fact, we had planned to go home before the sun really set because of the motorbike used 2 friends are off. The road to the project is poorly lit.. They will find it difficult to return to the project without the lights from the motor.
