MINISTRY Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) launched the Creative Economy and Tourism Sharia Finance Acceleration program (ACCESS) 2023 in the first quarter 2023. AKSES is an MSME business acceleration program through a securities crowdfunding mechanism. This program is the result of collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Agency, KNEKS and LBS Crowdfunding
“With this crowdfunding service, there are financing options that provide added value. Participatory nature, community-based and can become a share that generates profits with equitable distribution,” said the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy / Head of the Tourism and Creative Economy Agency Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno as quoted from the press release of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy.
To join this program, MSMEs can register online. After that, the curation process will be carried out by LBS Crowdfunding. The role of LBS Crowdfunding in this program is to curate starting from coaching until MSMEs meet with potential investors.
Selected MSMEs can take part in mentoring programs such as webinars, bootcamp, mentoring, and ends with the Sharia Pitching Forum and listing on the www.ibs.id platform. Application of the concept of crowdfunding securities (SCF) allows MSMEs to get capital from the community through shares. That means, there is community participation as an investor in this program.
SCF is like a mini exchange, funding through joint venture schemes and the public are invited. The aim of the program is to increase access to financing for MSMEs so that their turnover is boosted and eventually they can move up a grade. The background of the program is that there are constraints to access to financing that are often encountered by MSMEs.
The government is targeting approx 100 MSMEs participate with a fund value of IDR 1 trillion. The requirements for participating in ACCESS include a minimum running sharia parekraf business 2 year, turnover minimal 2,5 year, and requires financing starting from Rp 500 million to Rp 10 billion.
