TRAVELDIVA – Ministry Tourist and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf/Baparekraf) together with the Ministry of Trade held an Export Class program for Indonesian Creation Appreciation Alumni. Indonesian Creation Appreciation Program (AKI) aims to increase the capacity of creative business actors and help them expand the market for creative products, like culinary, kriya, fashion, music, film, and applications. This program has been running for four years and is held in 16 City/Regency in Indonesia.
As part of the Indonesian Creation Appreciation (AKI) 2024, The Export Class was held to equip AKI alumni 2021 to 2023 with a deep understanding of the export process. Export Training and Trade Services Center (PPEJP), led by the Director General of Domestic Trade, Ministry of Trade, Issy Karim, has hosted more than 80 training topics of various levels. Training covers various aspects, starting from finding potential export markets, understand export regulations and laws, managing logistics and shipping, to calculate costs and profits.
“One of the advantages here is that the material is very comprehensive and supported by teaching staff, almost all of whom are practitioners with competence in their respective fields,” Isy said. Selected participants were included in the AKI Export Class "Import Export Management Plus Simulation" which was held on 1-8 March 2024 at the Export and Trade Services HR Training Center (PPEJP), Ministry of Commerce, Jakarta.
Three years of holding the Indonesian Creation Appreciation has collected approx 1.200 creative creative actors who are registered as AKI alumni. The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, in accordance with its duties and functions, provides facilitation by helping the development of creative and creative businesses, especially AKI alumni, to scale up and be ready to enter the international market.
Outline, Export Class is a valuable investment for creative economy actors who want to enter the export market or increase their export operations. With the acquired knowledge and skills, Creative economy actors can make better business decisions and achieve success in their efforts to enter international markets. Therefore, the Export Class is a further strategic program to increase the capacity of creative and creative economy actors.
Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno targets that the contribution of the creative economy sector, especially from the export side, can be achieved 25 to 28 billion US dollars this year to encourage the creation of business opportunities and job creation for the community. “Added value to the creative economy (year) 2023 has penetrated Rp 1.415 trillion, above the target of Rp 1.300 trillion. Export Class activities begin with the registration process on the date 5-11 February 2024, especially for AKI alumni 2021-2023. As much 112 AKI alumni creative actors 2021-2023 register for Export Class with details 28 fashion brand, 53 culinary brand, and 31 brand verb. The series of activities continued with the curation process on the date 19 February 2024 by an Export Practitioner, Mr. Mohammad Andriza Syarifudin as participant curator.
The curator carries out the curation process in accordance with the assessment and judging criteria which refer to the criteria/provisions of the Export Trade Services HR Training Center, Ministry of Commerce. After being curated, finally from 112 selected registrars as much 40 creative economy actors as participants in the AKI Export Class 2024. From 40 brands that pass the AKI Export Class selection 2024, 10 including from fashion, 12 from crafts and 18 from culinary. Interestingly there is 28 women who are participants and 12 man.
Some brands that follow from the fashion field such as; Ma.ja Watch (South Tangerang), Apikmen ((South Tangerang), Creative Batik 9Yogyakarta) then Zee Collection (Purwokerto. There are also several brands from the craft sector such as M.A.R.S Genuine Leather (Yogyakarta), Shout out to Craft (Semarang) dan CV Solo Beat International (Solo). And several brands from the culinary field such as Magic Potato Saladin (Bogor), Healthy Kitchen (Situbondo).
