Based on the results of a study from the Eden Strategy Institute, Bandung is in the ranks category 50 great reign smart city or smart city in the world. Top 50 Smart City Government rankings this was released by Eden Strategy Institute on Wednesday, (31/3/21).
A strategy consulting firm based in Singapore announced that Bandung was the only region in Indonesia to be included in the ranks 50 large and was ranked 28th.
According to the release of the Bandung City Government Public Relations, quoted from the page, Detiktravel, Bandung's position is flanked by Oslo, Sweden (rating 27) dan Hangzhou, China (rating 29). Of course Bandung outperforms a number of big cities in the world.
Like Adelaide Australia (rating 31), Boston USA (rating 32), Dubai United Arab Emirates (rating 34), Frankfurt Germany (rating 38) and even the Los Angeles United States (rating 40).
While, Singapore is at the top with Seoul, London, Barcelona, and Helsinki.
These cities are not only advanced in terms of technology that are adopted citywide, but also in its government's efforts to take the city's population on its journey of digitalization.
Eden Strategy Institute study of the year 2020-2021 it also highlights smart cities in some developing regions that are not in the rankings 50 top.
The Eden Strategy Institute study itself assesses the criteria starting from the importance of strategy, leadership, HR focus, Policy, ecosystem, incentives and talent determine success, also the effectiveness of technology applied in smart cities.
Eden Strategy Institute evaluates and assesses more than 230 city. City governments are also invited to provide detailed supporting information, report, and the results of the smart city development program in the region.
Furthermore, interviews were conducted with officials in selected cities to validate facts and learn more about challenges, obstacles, and innovations made to make their city a Smart City.
