MORNING has arrived. Sunlight slowly entered from behind the bedroom window, as if to remind you to wake up immediately. That day, Travel Diva has a meeting agenda at Warung Kopi Purnama. This is a legendary coffee shop in Bandung.

The warmth of the sun really supports us to hurry up and hurry to the location. The steps were light. The heart feels happy too. It seems that exposure to the morning sun has succeeded in increasing the release of the hormone serotonin while walking along the sidewalks of Jalan Alkateri, the place where Warung Kopi Purnama is located.

It is not difficult to find this coffee shop. A sign that says Warung Kopi Purnama can be seen from a distance 3 meter. From the signpost, visitors can also tell that this coffee shop has been around since 1930. That means, since Colonial times, Purnama has stood firm. As solid as a Dutch architecture building that is a place for making coffee and serving buyers. Initially, This store is not called Full Moon, namun Chang Chang Se. That means, Good luck or taste.

But, the government requires the use of the Indonesian name in the year 1966, so that the owner changes the name of his shop to what it is now. Is Yong A Thong, the founder. He is a man born in Medan who moved to Bandung, then set up this coffee shop. By the owner who is of Chinese descent, interior of the building was given a touch of Chinese Malay. The Oriental interior concept can be seen from the selection of natural beige and brown colors with Chinese decorative ornaments.

The concept of open space and minimal blocking also seems to be applied in this store. With the concept of open space, The Purnama Coffee Shop feels cool because the air from outside can enter without a hitch. From its inception until now there has not been much change in this store. Brown wood furniture still uses the old one. Old Bandung photos are still plastered on the walls. The lighting still uses ancient light installations. Not modern style like most modern coffee shops.

Besides coffee, The shop also offers a variety of other beverages such as tea, milk, orange, grass jelly, fruit juice, bandrek, bajigur and food. Travel Diva chooses to sip a cup of coffee with srikaya bread. Bread with srikaya jam spread is one of the mainstay menus of Purnama Coffee Shop.

Taste of jam, not inferior to Malaysia's special rich jam. Sweet with a touch of savory taste from coconut milk, and soft and thick texture. While visiting Bandung, sipping a cup of coffee and a cup of srikaya bread in the morning at Warung Kopi Purnama can be an alternative for legendary culinary hunters like Travel Diva.
