That morning, when setting foot at HAS Hanandjoeddin Airport in Tanjung Pandan, Belitung, I really feel grateful. Eventually, I don't only know Belitung from the novel Laskar Pelangi, but also to visit the place where Andrea Hirata spent his childhood.
Travel from Soekarno-Hatta Airport to HAS Hanandjoeddin Airport is only needed 45 minute. Flying in the morning is an option for me, Husband and children can immediately enjoy their vacation around Belitung.
When we arrived, the vehicle from the hotel where we were staying was waiting at the airport. The vehicle is a facility from the hotel which is provided free of charge. Before deciding to go to Belitung, I'm really looking for accommodation that provides pick-up and drop-off facilities to and from the airport.
Long before departure, I have also ordered a transportation service to take us to explore the island which is known as the World Tourism Park. Not even an hour, we arrived at the hotel. After straightening the legs for a moment, exploration along the beauty of Belitung began. Nah, following 5 cool tourist attraction visited while in Belitung.
1. Kaolin Lake
The original, This lake in Tanjung Pandan was a former kaolin mining area. In plain sight, the water of Lake Kaolin that day was green tosca. even though, the water in the lake usually looks blue.
Nature seems to give a signal. Lake water at the surface descends to the depths. Otherwise, Lake water at depth rises to the surface. That's the cue given by the green of the water in the crater's appearance lake.
The Tosca green on the surface of the water actually makes Lake Kaolin even more beautiful when captured in a photo. Combined with the white land, the photos are truly Instagramable. Few suggestions, Diva Traveler shouldn't pose too far from the edge of the lake.
2. Tanjung Tinggi Beach
The distance from Tanjung Pandan to Tanjung Tinggi Beach is more than 30 kilometer. It takes approx 45-60 minutes if Diva Traveler departs from the airport. I went to the beach which is one of the backdrops for the Laskar Pelangi film by motorbike.
Exciting, because the air along the way remains cool even though the trip is done during the day. Occasionally felt a gentle breeze brushed against the face. As if accompanying my journey. Oil palm trees thrive there. The green foliage is really refreshing. Likewise with the expanse of brown land and green grass.
Taste, too dear if you go on vacation to Belitung, but don't visit this beach. Many activities can be done there. Swimming, snorkeling to riding a jetski. Before leaving for Tanjung Tinggi Beach, Diva Traveler should first make sure the vehicle is in prime condition. Reason, workshops and tire patches are rare there.
3. Tanjung Kelayang Beach and Tanjung Pendam
Both are close to Tanjung Tinggi Beach. The road to Tanjung Kelayang Beach and Tanjung Pendam is smooth. Along the way, I occasionally find durian sellers. Diva Traveler can enjoy the fruit on the spot or take it home.
The exoticism of Tanjung Kelayang and Tanjung Pendam can be felt in the afternoon. Especially when you see the sun starting to move to the contest. The glow of the sun that originally looked orange on the surface of the calm sea water slowly disappeared. Then it's dark, and began to be replaced by the glow of the moonlight. It's amazing.
However, for lovers sunbathing, noon is the perfect time to sunbathe. After sunbathing a few hours, the heat of the beach sun is enough to make the skin more tanned and exotic.
4. Lingkuas Island
It was too late at Tanjung Kelayang Beach. The ship at the dock has also left for Lengkuas Island. That day, I lost the momentum to visit the famous island with its lighthouse.
Regret came. Since in Jakarta, already imagined will see the beautiful white sandy beach. Contrast with the bluish green sea water and green coconut trees. I can also imagine taking photos with large rocks typical of the beach in Bangka Belitung as a backdrop. The shadow disappeared because I arrived too late.
If you want to travel to Lengkuas Island, it's best to spend a full day. Diva Traveler is advised to have arrived at Tanjung Kelayang Beach to prepare to board the boat that will take tourists to Lengkuas Island and return in the afternoon.
Nature's lines are painted beautifully in all the Belitung marine tourism destinations that I visited. It's hard when you have to leave all that beauty to return to the capital. Imagining, have to deal with pollution again, congestion, and the frenetic sound of horns when traffic jams. However, Life must go on. Vacation is just a small part of life's journey that can be repeated again if you want. Then, I decided to return to Belitung someday.
